Rebecca Severin is an MA student in TESL/Applied Linguistics. She has a BS from Iowa State University in animal ecology and a minor in biology. Two of her main passions are learning languages and teaching. Before attending college Rebecca studied Italian at an immersion language school in Verona, Italy. She has been teaching Italian language and culture for over ten years, and facilitates a weekly Italian conversation group. She has also tutored English language learners from preschoolers to university students. Rebecca’s interests in the field include second language acquisition and pedagogy, English for specific purposes, survival language skills, pronunciation, and computer-assisted language learning.
