Kerry Skram (’95 English and 2011 English Dept. Distinguished Alumni Award recipient) wrote an adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel “Sense and Sensibility” for ISU Theatre. Read the LAS story here. The production opens on February 22 at 7:30 p.m. at Fisher Theater in Ames.

The TESOL Encyclopedia of English Language Teaching, in which Drs. Beckett and Slater have an entry on project-based language learning and technology, was awarded the 2019 Prose Award for Best Multi-Volume Reference in the Humanities by the Association of American Publishers. The Prose Award recognizes the best of professional and scholarly publishing in 58 categories.
Sarah Burke (2013) was recently awarded the Cider Press Review Editors’ Prize for her poetry collection, “Blueprints.” The manuscript was Sarah’s thesis when she graduated from the MFA program in 2013. The book has a tentative release date of August 2019.
